Its a 30-60-90 triangle, so the pattern is: Side across from the 30 angle is x Side across from the 60 angle is x*sqrt(3) Side across from the 90 angle (hypotenuse) is 2x The side across from the 60 angle is given to be 5sqrt(3), so x (in the problem) must be 5 following the formula, and y must be 10 bc it must be double side x
I have the skills! :P In semi equilateral triangle: The longer leg= square root of 3 times the shorter leg => 5sqrt3=sqrt3 (x) x=5 In semi equilateral triangle: The hypotenuse= 2( shorter leg) => y= 2(5) y=10
