Quadratic equations can be solved by graphing. always sometimes? which one?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

yes,, the graph is a parabola, value of x at y = 0 gives the solution

OpenStudy (across):

I would really like to know how you can solve \(x^2+2=0\) using a graph. :)

OpenStudy (experimentx):

sometimes would be the right one, because, sometimes, the parabola might not reach the x-axis so it might no have any one solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so always?

oh gotcha thanks!
