Last semester I wrote an essay about the economic system and its incestuous relationship it has with politics. There's a lot you can write about that and plenty of resources you can site.

Well you can have your main points as: leadership (I honestly don't think we have any leadership skills) also like, previous ones have been a more "why?" generation that asks questions and forms opinions from that, creating many innovations as a result. However, I think we are more of a "how?" generation that just wants to know how it happens so they can get a good mark come test time and that's it, we forget all about it later.

aww man, well then make it a personal essay then and really talk about how you feel about our generation and what's wrong. But for your 3rd main point, make it againt your argument.

You want to be aiming for something you strongly feel about, and then you might want to research a bit and find things that support you argument. In my opinion you can ask for ideas but shouldn't get us to choose for you as it could be a topic you have no prior knowledge with. It can be a simple topic as your opinions and feeling's will bring your grades up.
