How can I speak English in this group? I live in Brazil and I´d like to improve my english and I want to study more.

OpenStudy (nottim):

Nothing better than taking a real English Class. Try reading How-To Speak English Books. We also have an English Group. Check it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for the answer. How I can enter in the English Group?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Do you know how to enter groups in general?

OpenStudy (nottim):

There's a blue button at the top; that's the group you're in right now. If you click it, you can see both the groups you've joined and other groups. Try looking for "English".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for the help.

OpenStudy (nottim):

Yup. Happy learning!

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Also, honestly, just visit the chat in any group. You can interact with people there, and if you give them a heads up I'm sure they'll be glad to help you with your English!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you want to join group, it's called writing instead of english (as it was suggested)

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

There is an English group as well and I think it would probably be better suited to ESL users than Writing since Writing has a focus on academic writing mechanics rather than a focus on grammar and other English mechanics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there isn't official english group unless it's called somewhat different than "english*" or search doesn't work

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

I believe it started as an unofficial group but has not been deleted and I don't think that it should because although somewhat related, Writing and English are very distinct from one another. It is my hope that English becomes a permanent (official and listed) group. It is already very difficult keeping up with all the unanswered questions in writing without adding to it with even more English questions than we already get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so far all user groups are alive, just not searchable when you click join more groups

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Correct. We've only deleted a handful of groups. We've simply disabled searching for non-official ones.
