OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

1 and 6 are factors of 6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the factors of 12 are 1,2,3,4,6,12 the factors of 20 are 1,2,4,5,10,20

OpenStudy (chris):

How about a deeper explanation, like what it means, not the answer :p

OpenStudy (chris):

i.e. what makes 2 and 3 factors of 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 times 3

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Factors are something like what multiply to make up a number. Like the factors for 6 are 1, 2, 3 and 6. 1 * 6 = 6 2 * 3 = 6

OpenStudy (chris):

(PS: sorry saifoo, not trying to be snarky)

OpenStudy (chris):

and awesome, yes =)

OpenStudy (chris):

is there an easy method (or system) for determining what the factors are of some number? I always just kind of hacked/guestimated

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

hehe, no worries.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

idk. i do them mentally though. we can start from 1, 2, 3 and so on.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

There's a method named as tree something... but i dont know how to apply it.
