Given the linear equation y= -2/3x-2 find the y-coordinates of the points (-9, ), (-3, ), and (6, ). Please show all of your work

OpenStudy (mysesshou):

is this written \[y= -(2/3)x-2\] or \[y= -2/(3x)-2\]

OpenStudy (mysesshou):

i'm assuming the first one?

OpenStudy (mysesshou):

\[y= -(2/3)*x-2\] Substitute in the values of x into the equation: \[y= -(2/3)*(-9)-2 = 6-2=4\] \[y= -(2/3)*(-3)-2 = 2-2=0\] \[y= -(2/3)*6-2 = -4-2=-6\] y= -2/3x-2 find the y-coordinates of the points (-9, 4 ), (-3, 0 ), and (6, -6 ). is what i get :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the x is on on the outside of the fraction
