The chart below shows the pulse rate of a patient measured at four hourly intervals everyday. a) Can you detect a regular pattern in the way the pulse rate changes? If so describe the pattern. b)do you have any criticism of the way the pulse rate is graphed in the chart? c)what were the highest and lowest values of pulse rate during the period in question and when were they recorded? d) give possible reasons why the pulse rate reached these particular value
i definitely don't get a) i see no pattern at all b) the time could've been more deayiled c) highest-wed, 111 lowest-mon, 71 d possible reasons-just finished exercisng, excited, angry
for some reason i cannot open that .pdf
a. Sleep & Wake cycles has a distinct diffrence for instance. b) I personally don't like that it's graphed with 12 hours interwal on X instead of every 4 hours as the interval it measured.
*interval
I agree with ex. The most that can be said of the pattern is that the rate tends to coincide with sleeping cycles and that not much detail can be seen from the chart because of the fact that the intervals are over 12 hours. As far as D is concerned, you only address the reason for the elevated heart rate. Remember that you have to give the reason for the lowest heart rate.
I also agree with ex. It could have been graphed much more clearly. For every mesurement the 2 am (middle of night) value is lower than the 2 pm (middle of afternoon) value. Think about how much blood you need flowing when you're sleeping vs. how much you need when you are awake and active. The only thing which isn't clear is the very high recording on Wednesday night. If I were you, I'd simply point out that it is very different than the other night time observations and is possibly an experimental error.
"c)what were the highest and lowest values of pulse rate during the period in question and when were they recorded?" You wrote "c) highest-wed, 111 lowest-mon, 71" Are you sure that you've found the lowest measurement possible throughout the week or did the assigment specify monday?
the information posted is the exact same question verbatim. they did not specify monday
i had to find the lowest measurement
Wouldn't it be more prudent to pick perhaps saturday 2 am or wednessday 6am?
i agree
