HELP! A steel water tank is a cylinder with a diameter of 30 ft and a height of 18 ft. How many square feet of steel were needed to make the tank?

simple man. here ya go. just imagine the cylinder flat, as if you cut it down the side and it looked like a rectangle. we already have the height of the rectangle, which is 18ft. all we need now is the length which is the circumference of the cylinder, which is 2pi(r) which equals 30pi feet. then we simply multiply our height times our length 30pi feet times 18 feet equals 540pi feet squared. peace bro one love.
