Yo, any help would be great - A supervisor who has four identical robot cleaners has to get seven lecture theatres cleaned. In how many ways can the theatres be assigned so that each robot is cleaning at least one? Each theater needs to be assigned exactly one robot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know the anwer off the top of my head with a formula, but i bet we can figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have a formula for such a problem please share and we can do it. i do not think this is seven choose 4 though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

S(7,4)? or sum for i=1 to 4 of S(7,i)? either of them look good? S is Stirling numbers of the second kind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first one is 350 lets see if we can get that by thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i believe it is 350. would love confirmation
