OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

surely you know the area of a triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can show you a starting point! just use the general equation the the area of a triangle= 1/2 base(height). then add up the triangle's area in each trapazoid or whatever shape. the point is that you can calculate the area of the whole by adding the smaller triangles!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like question 1 would be 1/2(3.2m)(1.5m) plus 1/2(4m)(2.6m)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how you do 2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same way man, just try to find the triangles that have a base and a height given. 2 would be 1/2(6m)(3m) plus 1/2(10m)(3.5m). those are both triangles which you have the base and height for. easy man.
