A boat traveled 108 miles dwnstream and back. The trip downstream took 3 hours. The trip back took 6 hours. What is the speed of the boat in still water? what is the speed of the current?

108 = (b+w)*3
108 = (b-w)*6

108/3 = b + w
108/6 = b - w

36 = b + w
18 = b - w

w = 36 - b
w = b - 18

36 - b = b - 18
2b = 54
