The radius of the tires of a car is 18 inches, and they are revolving at the rate of 673 revolutions per minute. How fast is the car traveling in miles per hour?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have found an angular velocity (omega) of 80,760 Pi radians per hour (673 revs/1 min)*(2 Pi rads/1 rev)*(60 min/1 hr). Where do I go from here?

razor99 (razor99):

so u know the formulae right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

velocity=radius*omega, right?

razor99 (razor99):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But simply multiplying 80,760 Pi rad/hour by 18 inches isn't giving me the answer I need, so I must be missing a step.
