If point A is between B and C then BA + AC = BC. always sometimes never

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

always

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Only if all 3 are collinear. if not then something like this happens: |dw:1332419636479:dw| so A' is not collinear (collinear means in a same line) so A'B+A'C not equal to BC. nut since A is collinear it lies on the shortest distance between B and C. so here its applicable. In both cases of A and A', each point is 'between' B and C, but not everytime it happens. so Sometimes.
