OCW Scholar - Physics I: Classical Mechanics 8 Online

I am so confused about the order of the lectures and the modules. For example, why is there a video excerpt about Hook's Law and Simple Harmonic Oscillators, in module 8, when it's not discussed in the notes, nor are there any problems there concerning it. I am having a hard time seeing the relevancy of the order.

I just noticed the video for Hook's law and SHO are in module 8, when only Hook's law concern's some of module 7. Ahhh I don't get the order. Anyone Else having problems.

A problem that actually exists everywhere in our everyday life. Overview of the Courses: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/ The general problem with organization is to find a way to get an ever increasing amount of data into easily identifiable categories (to name one methode as organization approach) and make them understandable & easy to find later on, even when there is new content added over time, categories and maybe a whole new organization methode will be needed for this. Tags are another methode. Static identifiers are yet another: fixed alphanumerical strings that give us a quick way to access information, which is what gets used in the courses. This should be the idea standing behind the always more complicate getting identifier. Also i may guess that most people involved in making these lectures available have free choice in which module (category) their course fits and as their content may contribute to more than just one module, it may happen that it seems to not fit it's category (but the identifier is fixed after deciding on it!). Note: Neither student, teacher nor professor at MIT & OCW, so just my vague guesses. ;)

Yeah, I've noticed that they don't match up, and also that there are 35 lectures versus 28 modules in OCW Physics I. What I've done is downloaded all of the lectures & started playing them in the VLC media player, and I've noticed that detailed descriptions of the lectures show up there. I've renamed the files according to the descriptions & have been using that to try to coordinate them as much as it's possible. I've uploaded a screen capture of the lecture list. Hope this helps.
