ab + 2b + 3a + 6

OpenStudy (raspberryjam):

So you have two variables...a and b and notice that everything is positive. So what you have so far is (a+__ )(b+__ ) Now what times what factors of 6 can give you 2b and 3a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 & 2 ? lol uhm i really don't know.. :c

OpenStudy (raspberryjam):

No you're right! The coefficients kind of give it away...now which number goes where? Keep in mind that b has to be multiplied by 2 and a has to be multiplied by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhmmmm . lol i just dont know how to put it together

OpenStudy (raspberryjam):

Well since a has to be multiplied by 3 and b has to be multiplied by 2 that means 2 and b can't be together and 3 and a can't be together.
