Which of the following is the equation of the axis of symmetry for the function? y = x^2 -4x + 8 A. y = 2x B. x = 2 C. y = -2 D. x = -4

it cannot be y = anything, because of the way the graph is (imagine y = x^2, it does not make sense to cut the graph horizontally, but rather right through the vertex with a veritical line) hence, the axis of symmetry.. goes through the vertex with a vertical line lol if you can find the vertex, or at the VERY least the x-coordinate of the vertex, you will immediatly know the axis of symmetry
