Write the slope-intercept equation for the line that passes through (1,-9) and (3,-1).

OpenStudy (experimentx):

y+9 = ((-1+9)/(3-1))*(x-1) http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=simplify+y%2B9+%3D+%28-1%2B9%29%2F%283-1%29*%28x-1%29

get your slope (look up the formula) and use one of your points to find "b" in y=mx+b Then all you need is your m and your b for the line eqn.
