What's the use of this helpful website if everyone just post a link of wolf as the answer without much of their own workings?
Well, not everyone does that. I don't do it (mostly).
just exasperating the situation.. sorry, but seriously, it becomes more and more popular way to do so
Wolf helps a lot for some difficult questions but sometimes people abuse it
Yeah, but most of the questions on the site are more like homework questions. Questioners really don't care about learning, most of them.
I would disagree with Ishaan, I don't think *most* of our users really aren't interested in help. That said, links to other sites are a matter of life. I often link to a useful Wikipedia article in the CS group when I'm responding. Something that Wolfram or Wikipedia can't do, however, is answer your follow up questions if you don't understand the material.
I mostly don't use wolf.
Because it's a big change, our enforcement is not happening immediately, but rather gradually. However, we're cracking down on answers-only-type responses, and that will increase over the coming couple of weeks. We've decided to shift the site to an emphasis on quality, not quantity or speed.
Well, not *just* speed—we want people to start getting answers quickly, but for the answer to be about learning, not about putting the answer into your homework.
