A DNA segment is chaed from -AAT.TAG- to-TAG.AAT-. this is an ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess strand is reverse i mean from 5 to 3 dey turn the strand 3 to 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so wats the answer translation , inversion , point mutqation , or frameshift

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat u think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Invesion ? wby ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is as think of urself translation is a diff process point mutation no it cant as we didnt see dat in the qnn and frame shift no itss also not posibble as u ssee the sequence is same so the ans goes to inversion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with somemore stuff ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Carbohydrates are an important marcomolecule because they what ? Provide the cell with its genetic information speed up chemical reaction within the cell. provide the cell with a supply of short- term energy enzyms change the Ph of the substance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat u think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is no relation of energy wid genetic formation coming to speeding up reaction it was done by enzymes and enzymes change the ph has no relation wid the above qn so ans goes to provide the cell with a supply of short term energy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thoht it was that one to , but i have somemor would u like to help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the function of enzymes in biological systems ? Enzymes act as catalysts that speed up chemical reactions Enzymes act as substrates in the absence of necessary proteins Enzymes increase the temperature required for chemical reations to occur Enzsymes change the PH of the substrate whitch on u think it is ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now coming the word "biological" i guess Enzymes act as substrates in the absence of necessary proteins as rest are all related to chem also

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have like 16 more questions wanna help ? :) & thanks for helping me soe far !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea y not as i m also gettin bore sso post them :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An important difference between virusews and living cells is that viruses-- Cannot reproduce on their own Contain more nuclei than cells Cannot mutate(change) but cells can. Need energy source but cells do not . Whitch one u thiink it is ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Need energy source but cells do not .

OpenStudy (blues):

Actually, I disagree with Heena about the last two. Enzymes are catalysts - they speed up a reaction by lowering the energy of the transition state between the reactant and the product, but they never act as substrate or are transformed by the reaction themselves. And cells certainly do need energy sources. Viruses don't as they technically don't carry on any metabolic processes themselves. The difference between cells and viruses is that cells can reproduce on their own but viruses cannot.

@Tiyauna11 blues is right
