Adaptive immune system: fights specific pathogen when it has recieved two signals to start.

Innate immune system: Continously fights pathogens and canccergenic cells aswell as parasites.

How does not washing your hands properly affect these mechanisms? - It doesn't as long as you don't itch your eyes, put your fingers in your mouth or any other body openings.
