Discuss the mechanisms involved in correction errors in DNA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

During replication of DNA there may be mistakes related to the complementarity of bases, but the enzime responsible por replication which is DNA Polimerase, also has the capacity to correct mistakes. this is the 3-5 exonuclease activity. both functions belong to the same enzimatic complex. I think there is also a system called the SOS sytem of correction of mistakes that functions when a fragment of DNA has been greatly damaged by mutations. these are also enzymes that correct mistakes of nucleotides.
