Im stuck here. Factor 2x^5-6x^4+8x^3 i get 2x^3(x^2-3x+4) They want complete factorization but i dont know what to factor it into

Directrix (directrix):

2x^5-6x^4+8x^3 = 2x^3(x^2-3x+4) ---------------- ^^ brc's work Why do you think there's more factoring to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it just asks for complete factorization, just seemed like there should be one more step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but since we cant factor past that that is complete then

Directrix (directrix):

Can you think of two numbers that multiply to 4 and add to -3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha no. That is the part where i got stuck and felt like there should be more.

Directrix (directrix):

There are prime polynomials just as there are prime numbers.

Much thanks man. Have been hitting homework hard this week to get ahead. Brain is fried lol

Directrix (directrix):

It seems to me that your brain is working.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea just overthinking it
