Solve and graph: 62 - 18x < 20

OpenStudy (phi):

with inequalities you have to be careful if you switch the sign of x. the safest way to solve this is add 18x to both sides. subtract 20 from both sides.

OpenStudy (phi):

you can double check your answer but substituting in a number you think should work. If x< -2.3 is an answer, then x= -3 should work. But notice that 62 - 18*-3 is not < 20

thanks, guys :)

OpenStudy (phi):

Do you have the equation now? Can you graph it?

OpenStudy (phi):

@kymber you should fix your answer.
