I have to find the value of many different trig functions using only coterminal angles. I know to find coterminal angles I just add or subtract 360. How would this help me find the value of (this is an example of the first type of problem I have to do) sin300?

take a look at the trig cheat sheet attached. find 300 degrees on the unit circle. first coordinate is cosine, second is sine
And what about tan and the other 3?
tan is sine over cosine, or second coordinate over first
take a look at "unit circle" definition on top right of first page of cheat sheet
How is this going to help me on the test when I have no unit circle with me? It's obvious there is some knowledge I'm supposed to be able to apply to get the answer here.
