Can someone please tell me if I got this right. Or if I messed up. Simplify by removing factors of 1. (8n^2+8n)/(72n^2+64n) My answer: (8n^2+8n)/(4608n^3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should the top have been factored also?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(8n^2+8n)/(72n^2+64n) you can simplify this problem by factoring out a "1" or rather, factoring out 8n from the top, and 8n from the bottom. then 8n/8n = 1, and you are left with the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can factor the numerator like so: 8n(n+1) and the denominator can factor to: 8n(9n+8) the 8n will cancel...assuming n >0... which leaves: (n+1)/(9n+8)

Well I don't know were i went wrong then....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i don't know what you did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just do what i did and you'll be all good

Thanks so much!
