I have just started with the MIT Introduction to Computer Science MIT 6.00 and have just downloaded and installed Python from the Python website. The courses uses version 2.5.0 and I have just installed version 2.7.1 - will the fact that I am using a newer version of the Python software cause me any problem when doing the course exercises and exams?

I dont think there will be any problems whatsoever, why dont you go ahead into the course and see for yourself -_-.
