OpenStudy (callisto):

Which kind of lens is used and at what position it is placed at will be image formed as laterally inverted? For short-sighted person, should he use a convex lens for his glasses? Why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for a short sighted person the image from long distances comes and converges BEFORE the retina(screen) so i want to push back the image or in scientific words i want to make my lens more diverged so which type of lens gives me images diverged?

OpenStudy (callisto):

concave?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!

OpenStudy (callisto):

thanks, what about for the first question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know which lens to use? to get inverted image?

OpenStudy (callisto):

probably i think it is convex, that's just for making sure i didn't get it wrong, but the real problem is i don't where it locates :S

OpenStudy (callisto):

for concave all images are erect..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

place yes ur convex lens anywhere between infinity and focus point and get a laterally inverted image if u put it otherwise then its an errect one |dw:1332601867915:dw|
