factor 2x^2-19x+24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

step by step please thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i know the product sum method so no need to explain that further lol

OpenStudy (hoblos):

2x^2-19x+24 = 2x^2 -3x - 16x +24 = x(2x-3) -8(2x-3) = (2x-3)(x-8)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

break coefficient of x^2 and the constant into prime factors. and then arrange them into groups such that adding or deducting them you get the coefficient of x, which we call splitting of the middle term. so it goes something like: (okay @hoblos already did it refer it) :)
