What is the period, in seconds, of a simple pendulum of length 3 meters? Use the gravitational constant g = 9.8 m/s^2 and round your answer to two decimal places.

3.48

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

time period of a simple pendulum performing SHM is T \[T = 2\pi \sqrt{l/g}\] here l is length of pendulum (or string since the mass at the end is considered too small). and g is, you know it!! great gravity that is 9.8m/sec^2 (or 10 sometimes). so put in the values, and enjoy! (and verify here)

= 3.48
