(8*10^(7))(7*10^(4)) Raising a number to the 7th power is the same as multiplying the number by itself 7 times. In this case, 10 raised to the 7th power is 10000000. (8*10000000)(7*10^(4)) Multiply 8 by 10000000 to get 80000000. (80000000)(7*10^(4)) Raising a number to the 4th power is the same as multiplying the number by itself 4 times. In this case, 10 raised to the 4th power is 10000. (80000000)(7*10000) Multiply 7 by 10000 to get 70000. (80000000)(70000) Multiply 80000000 by 70000 to get 5600000000000. (5600000000000)
