. Jenny draws a circle with a radius of 16 cm. What is the length of the longest chord in the circle? we barely talked about chords, but i am thinking that since 16 is the radius, which is half of the diameter, then the longest chord would be 32 cm or 16 cm

sam (.sam.):

32

thats what i was banking on! thank you!

sam (.sam.):

diameter is the longest chord in a circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u need an explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes because a chord could be like |dw:1332685269722:dw||dw:1332685286178:dw| so it could be like anywhere, and the longest one is the diameter which is across the entire thing! I got it!
