What could you better understand about plants after doing a plant experiment?

I've done the plant expirement before, and you learn what the effects water and sunlight have on the growth of the plant. You also learn that plants tend to go in the direction the sunlight is coming from. Too much water, however, can destroy the plants. Too much water can kill humans so it can also kill plants. It's like your overdoing them, giving them too much nutrients they don't really need. (:
