Can someone tell me how I would solve trhe percent of something ?
Example : If a t-shirt is regularly priced at $8.50, how much will it cost during a 10% off sale?

(8.50)-(8.50)*(.10)=sale price

Answer 2

Just say to yourself, "If it is 10% off I still have to pay 90% of the cost." So find 90% of the regular price and you'll have your answer.
