Is this reference properly cited? Maxfield, D., Grenny, J., Lavandero, R., & Groah, L. (2011), (September/October). The silent treatment: Why safety tools and checklists aren’t enough to save lives. Retrieved from www.aacn.org/WD/hwe/docs/the-silent-treatment.pdf.
Thanks for replying! My first time using the help. I just need it to be correct in APA 6th edition format.
Okay :) I am not that familiar with APA, but are you supposed to include the journal/database title and the date(s) of access? That's all I can think of that might also go in that citation. Good luck!
I think so:) Thanks
Almost . . . You should make the following changes to conform to APA 6th Ed: Date all in one set of parenthesis. Single space after periods (there were several spaces after your title, which I suspect is because you were trying to manually create a hanging indent). Other than that it's just fine. This does not appear to be a journal article and even if it were, there is no volume or issue number available, so don't worry about them. Also Retrieval dates are no longer required on APA 6th Ed. references UNLESS the cited material is subject to change. This is obviously the final version of the article, so there is no need for a retrieval date. Your final reference entry should look like this (and obviously with a hanging indent): Maxfield, D., Grenny, J., Lavandero, R., & Groah, L. (2011, September/October). The silent treatment: Why safety tools and checklists aren’t enough to save lives. Retrieved from www.aacn.org/WD/hwe/docs/the-silent-treatment.pdf.
