solve inequalities, please help 1. x – 3 > –9 2. –2x + 1 ≤ –11 3. 10 < –3x + 1 4. 2(x + 5) > 8x – 8 5. –2(x – 3) ≥ 5 – (x + 3)

1) Treat it like an equation and solve. 2) Same as above, but you have to remember that when you divide by negative two, the sense (direction) of the inequality changes. To avoid this little inconvenience, you can move the terms with the variable to whichever side will give a positive coefficient. In the case of number 2): \[–2x + 1 ≤ –11\]\[12\le2x\]\[6\le x\] 3), 4) and 5) similar.
