Can anyone help solve this problem f(x)={2x+4 if x<0 {2x+7 if x>0 (a) f(-2)=_ (b) f(0)=_ (c) f(2)=-

I made a mistake, the second should be greater than or equal to

This is a piecewise defined function. It has different rules for different parts of the domain. The first step is to determine which part of the domain x is in. In the case problem a, x=-2, so it is in the lower part of the domain, where x < 0, so we use the first rule, 2x+4. I think f(-2)=0. Use similar technique for the other problems. 1) find which part of the domain 2) use the rule for that part of the domain to find the function evaluation.
