how do you determine the value of cos for A? and sin for B and tan for A & B? I am extremely confused using this scientific calculator.

OpenStudy (phi):

what model do you have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

TI-36X

OpenStudy (phi):

OK I was looking at the manual (I assume you have a copy) what do you get if you press tan 45 enter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1

OpenStudy (phi):

that means you are in degree mode and you found the tangent of 45 degrees is 1 try sin 30 enter (you should get 0.5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (phi):

now to find the inverse sin of 0.5 clear it, and press sin sin (the sin button twice in a row) then 0.5 enter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.000152307

OpenStudy (phi):

oops, that is not what I expected. you did sin(sin(0.5))) I wanted to see sin^-1(0.5)
