LAST QUESTION!!! http://melheart47.tumblr.com/ If r = 9 units and X = 9 units, then what is the volume of the cylinder shown above? A. 324 cubic units B. 729 cubic units C. 243 cubic units D. 567 cubic units

Directrix (directrix):

This is the third time this question has been asked within the last 20 minutes. http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/4f70b424e4b0eb858773466b

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

volume of a cylinder is equal to pi times square of radius times height V = \[\pi r^2 h\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, it should be 729pi cubic units.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the equation of the volume of a Cylinder is pi*(radius^2)*height

Directrix (directrix):

When I worked this just now, the answer I got was not one of the options. SA = 2 pi rh + 2pi r^2 SA = 2 pi (9)(9) + 2 pi (9)^2 SA = 162 pi + 162 pi SA = 324 pi SA = 1017.36 approx --> May someone can find the error.

OpenStudy (phi):

The answers seem to be leaving out a factor of pi I am guessing it is a bit of a screw up on their part.

Directrix (directrix):

The questions has been changed from finding surface area to finding volume. If r = 9 units and X = 9 units, then what is the total surface area of the cylinder shown above? http://melheart47.tumblr.com/

OpenStudy (phi):

True, but yet again the answers leave out a factor of pi
