Graph the quadratic functions y = -2x^2 and y = -2x^2 + 4 on a seperate piece of paper. Using those graphs, compare and contrast the shape and position of the graphs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are both parabolas because they have x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both have -2 in front of the x^2 so they are flip upside down and are wider

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the second one has a +4 so it is moved up 4 places
