Which of the following points lie in the solution set to the following system of inequalities? y < -3x + 3 y < x + 2 (1, -5) (1, 5) (5, 1) (-1, 5)

OpenStudy (chriss):

you can plug the points into the inequalities to get the answer. for instance try plugging (1,5) into y<x+2 and you get 5<1+2 clearly this isn't true so you rule out that answer. Plug in the solutions until you find the one that works for both inqualities.
