Choose the correct pronoun. She and (us or we) listened to Handel's The Messiah. **Is it used as a subject or object**

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's a trick: take away the "she" and the conjunction ("and") that goes with it, and begin the sentence with the other pronoun. Which of those two is now correct? (If you are a native speaker, you know this one automatically. If not, you may have to think about it.) There's your answer. The pronoun that's correct on its own is correct also in combination with another pronoun or noun. Then, by asking whether it is being used as a subject or an object, you are asking about how it is functioning in the sentence. What do you understand now about subjects and objects? Let's start there.
