Hi! Im learning about the Counting Principle, and was confused on how to state whether an event was 'Independent' or 'Dependent'. Here are the scenarios: a) Choosing the color and size of a pair of shoes. b) Choosing the winner and the loser of a chess game.

Can you explain how you know?
i think for part b, it's obvious. winner depends on the loser or vice versa.
So basically, B was dependent because it depended on who the loser was?
no, given a winner, the other HAS to be the loser.
