Statistics confidence interval. The formula is B-hat1 +- t-alpha/2,df * S-Bhat... I have B-hat1=31, s=3, SS-xx=35 and n=12. According to someone, we are not supposed to divide the alpha in half for a 95% confidence interval. Why not??
