Photosynthesis uses light to turn carbon dioxide and water into what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you look at a very basic cycle, really simplified, you have humans who give carbon dioxide to plants so that they can "breathe", and the plants use carbon dioxide and water to make (blank) which humans then use. There are two main answers here, and I've hinted at the first main answer in that plants "breathe" by humans giving them carbon dioxide...

OpenStudy (agreene):

\[CO_2+H_2O +hv\rightarrow C_6H_{12}O_6+6O_2\] or in other words: Carbon Dioxide + Water + light == Glucose (sugar) + Oxygen this is the reaction for photosynthesis.

Glucose(Starch) + Oxygen
