Question

What is up with direct messages? I keep getting messages back that I deleted days ago. They aren't showing as notifications, in other words, they appear as read, but they keep coming back after I have deleted them. At first I thought it was me, that I was just thinking I had deleted them, but today I completely cleared my messages, logged out a couple of hours, came back on, and I have two new and like a dozen old ones I deleted, some were even ones I deleted days ago. So it's not just the messages that I deleted today.

BTW The oldest one was deleted 6 days ago.

I'm also having that weird issue where I cannot delete certain questions again that I mentioned a few days ago. I'm not sure what is causing this. It seemed to resolve itself of it's own accord the other day, but it's reared its head again.

Hey @jagatuba I have had the problem where sometimes it only shows I can delete certain questions, but usually that is when I have just logged in and a refresh takes care of it.

When I am in this post, if I click delete on Angel's question nothing happens. If I click on shay's I get the delete dialog. If I go out of the question and try to delete from the outside I get nothing.

So that problem resolved brings me back to the original reason for the post. Has anyone else experienced messages coming back after deletion?

Hm. I'll ask about deleting not holding on. But the questions thing is sadly a known issue. You didn't have this issue before because you stayed logged in. On login, you have to reload for existing posts to delete properly :/ We'll be fixing the login issue with the next deploy, though.

Deleted all messages yesterday, still 0 today
maybe need to wait longer or maybe that's because I didn't receive any messages at that time
