when doing percents. its really just multiplying the number by 100. which can be done really fast by moving the decimal two spaces over

.008*100=.8 or just move the decimal over 2 spaces==.8;)

Yes to all of the above. But the easy way to remember it is that the percent sign tells you this. It is 100 but spelled a little differently, two zeroes and a diagonal one.
