one canned juice drink is 25% orange juice; another is 10% orange juice. How many liters of each should be mixed together in order to get 15L that is 12% orange juice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

put x = liters of 25% juice, then since the total is 15 the the 10% juice must be 15 - x then \[.25x+.10(15-x)=.12\times 15\] solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you good from there or you still need the solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that for the 25 or 10%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put x as the 25% juice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should get \[x=2\] so 2 liters of 25% and the rest (13) of 10%
