please please help! Now it is time for you to become a scientist. In this assignment, you will come up with a scientific question, write a hypothesis, and design an experiment to test your hypothesis. First, you need to think about an observation you have made recently. What kinds of questions did this observation raise in your mind? Maybe the observation didn’t raise a question. Maybe it revealed a problem instead. Can you use the scientific method to design an experiment to answer this question or solve this problem? Of course you can, and you will! Keep in mind that your question must
be testable: Observation What do you see or experience? Problem/Question Identify a problem and form a question. Research Learn what research has been done in the past. Hypothesis What do you believe is the most likely answer to your question? This is your hypothesis. Experiment Design and conduct an experiment to test your hypothesis. Analysis Interpret the data from your experiment. You may have to do some calculations or place the data in a chart to help you interpret it. Conclusion Do the results of your experiment support or disprove your hypothesis? Revise and Repeat Make any revisions that are necessary and repeat your experiment.
This is an assignment that is almost personal. If we try to answer this for you, it'll end up being "our" work. (i.e. "My observation right now is that it is too cold for Spring", but is it really that cold at your place? What if it's actually warm and sunny up there?) You have to understand the question very well. This is an important thing that you alone must undertake, in terms of your ubringing in Science. Also, this is VERY easy.
can you help me with what kind of expiriment should I do?
Hmmm...well, what do you observe? You can base this on a surrounding, on current geo-political events, or, personally, yourself... what you physically or emotionally feel. For example, feelings of Anxiety or Joy, those are valid questions that you can experiment on. Science is not just beakers, robots and chemicals, you see ;)
thanks!!!
Let us know how it goes. We'd be proud to see what you've made!
thanks again! yer so nice:D
would this be an observation? Cars move along streets, stop, then move again.
Hahahahaha, Yes, that is an Observation. :)
