Can you read a book forward and backward the same way? Depending on your terms, I would say yes. So the correct answer is probably no.

Yeah, define what you mean by “the same way”. If you mean the same tree, in the same representation, yes. The only thing that changes is the algorithm you use to traverse the tree.

There are thre basic routines used in reading a binary tree. The pre, post an in order traversals basically just call them in different orders.
