how can you use the pythagorean theorem in typical life?
you can find out how far from the wall you should set up the ladder so it will reach the roof...however i guess you can trial and error there..
any other replys would be helpful :)
you can create a very accurate 90 degree angle by using the 3-4-5 triangle.

The pythagorean theorem is actually a specific case of the Cosine Law: a^2 = b^2 + c^2 - 2bccosA. Surveyors use it all the time...
but like how would i use the theorem in everyday life?
say 2 guys are running at you in spiky armor, 90 degrees to each other, but stop at different distances. You use this time to calculate the distance between them, so you know how long of a line you should use to tie them both where they stand.
thanks
you kno, kinda thing batman has to do.
Or maybe you make bookshelf. You want to know how long support is. You use pythaogrean theorem to figure out length, save money.
